Don't feed dog food to your cat, but it's okay to feed it to your pig!
The point is: there is a difference between dog food and cat food - beyond the fact that one type of food is labeled "cat" and the other "dog." Perhaps the most important difference is that cat food has more meat. This is because cats NEED more meat. Also, dog food has ingredients that cats cannot digest.
In this respect, among others, DOGS more closely resemble PIGS than cats do. Whew! I'm glad they escaped that company, aren't you? (Sorry, dog owners, no slam is intended.)
