1. They live here; you don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.
3. I like my pets better than I like people.
4. To you they are animals. To me, they are adopted children who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and are speech-challenged.
5. Dogs and cats are better than kids. They eat less, are easier to train, usually come when called, don't ask for money, never drive your car, don't hang out with losers, don't drink or smoke, don't worry about the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes and don't need a gazillion dollars for college. And if they get pregnant, you can sell the results.
6. Who asked you here in the first place? Nice to see you...you can leave now!
7. My companion is more loyal and faithful than your spouse is!
Rules for Non-pet owners who visit:
Dogs' lives are too short. Their only fault, really.
~Agnes Sligh Turnbull
